This new tour highlights many of the natural wonders of the west as we stay in exciting Las Vegas for 3 nights and offer day trips to different sightseeing destinations.  With no packing and unpacking, this trip is a relaxing way to travel.  We provide breakfast each morning and other selected meals.  With so many wonderful restaurants in Las Vegas, you have the freedom and flexibility to dine at your leisure at the restaurants of your choice on the other nights.  We also spend 2 nights in Arizona on this western getaway.

SEP 27 …       We meet at the airport for our transcontinental flight as we cross America to the “Oasis in the Desert”.. Las Vegas.  This will be our home for 3 nights, as our resort hotel sits on the world famous Strip.  (D)

SEP 28 … Breakfast and this morning we visit the amazing Hoover Dam for a tour of this engineering marvel that uses the power generated by the Colorado River to produce electricity for this area.  Just the gigantic size of the facility is unbelievable. Later we return to Las Vegas and our hotel.  Tonight the group experience Vegas with one of the Strip’s top shows. (B)

SEP 29 …       Breakfast and another great tour, as its on to southern Utah and its many precious natural treasures.  Zion National Park is our destination and we witness first hand this famous natural landmark.  Zion Canyon has been called “a Yosemite done in oils”, truly a work of art in nature.  We enjoy lunch in the lodge, and there is no rush in this inspirational setting, so enjoy the scenery. Later we return to Las Vegas.  (B,L)       

SEP 30 …       Breakfast and today should be the highlight.  We depart Vegas for Arizona for a drive to the Canyon so great they named in Grand…the largest example of erosion on Earth, as the Colorado River has carved away through the centuries to form this magnificent place. The Grand Canyon is over 270 miles long, 10 miles wide, and over 1 mile deep…a myriad of colors through the different levels of rock, soil, and limestone creating unbelievable beauty. We will have time in the village and along the rim, enjoy lunch on your own, before an overnight stay in Flagstaff. (B)

OCT 1 …     Breakfast and we travel into Oak Creek Canyon and the Red Rock Country.  After several photo pull offs, we arrive in the resort town of Sedona, a year-round getaway that has become a haven for artist and craftsmen alike.  Rich in spectacular scenery and unspoiled beauty, Sedona draws visitors from around the world to share its magnificent red rock formations. After lunch, we continue south to Phoenix.  (B,D)

OCT 2 …       Breakfast and we transfer to the airport for our flight home after a fantastic tour of the canyons and beauty of the grand southwest.  (B)
