APR 16… We depart on our way west and travel through Georgia and Alabama for an overnight in the Magnolia State of Mississippi.   Dinner  (D)

APR 17… NATCHEZ …Traveling across the state of Mississippi we come to the quaint town of Natchez, situated along the Mississippi River and in the heart of the “cotton belt”.  It was here in Natchez that so many of the cotton lords built their palatial homes.  At one time there were more millionaires living here than anywhere else in America.  Our lunch will be a southern tradition, as we dine at the Carriage House, part of one of the beautiful historic homes in the center of Natchez. A tour of another of the ante bellum mansions highlights our afternoon.  Later we continue across Louisiana and overnight.  (B,L)

APR 18 SAN ANTONIO & RIVERWALK … This morning we travel across the backroads of Texas though small town America as we make or way to the exciting city of San Antonio for a 2 night stay.  Our hotel is located near the Alamo and steps from the famed Riverwalk.  Dinner is included on the banks of the San Antonio River.   (B,D)

APR 19 THE ALAMO & RIVER PARADE … San Antonio is one of the most picturesque cities in America, with its old Spanish flavor, multi-cultural people, and its many parks and plazas.  An outstanding feature of the city is the 250 year-old most famous church … the Mission San Antonio de Valero, better known as THE ALAMO.  The day is yours to explore the Old Town area by the old town trolley or by foot, and you are in the center of all of the activities for FIESTA. Enjoy the excitement of “Fiesta” as we take our reserved seats along the Paseo del Rio, or Riverwalk, for the Texas Cavaliers River Parade. Delight in the scenery and color as dozens of brilliantly lighted and decorated vessels wind their way along the river.   (B)

APR 20 … HOUSTON … Breakfast and we travel to Houston, largest city in Texas, for a lunch break. Here a local guide will board our coach for an interesting tour of the sights of this important city of America. Tonight, take some time to explore the Galleria, Houston’s finest.  (B)

APR 21 …  SPACE CENTER HOUSTON … Breakfast and we drive to NASA headquarters at the Johnson Space Center for a tour. Space Center Houston is one of the only places on Earth where visitors can see astronauts train for missions, touch a real moon rock and take a behind-the-scenes tour of NASA. Visitors can go inside the unprecedented international landmark Independence Plaza, the only exhibit in the world with a full-scale shuttle replica mounted on top of the original shuttle carrier aircraft NASA 905 and standing eight stories tall. The exhibits, attractions and hands-on activities in this 250,000-square-foot educational entertainment complex tell the story of America’s human space flight program, giving guests an experience like no other. After the morning visit, we travel one state over into the Bayou State and the city of Lafayette. Centered in the heart of Cajun Country, dinner is a special treat and lots of fun as we dine on Cajun Cuisine and dance to the energetic sounds of Cajun music. (B,D)

APR 22… CAJUN COUNTRY & A BAYOU CRUISE … This morning is highlighted by a cruise into a nearby bayou, exploring the swampy lands of this interesting culture of the Cajuns. Later we travel near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico for out last evening together at the BEAU RIVAGE. (B,D)

APR 23 … We return home after an exciting trip west during the springtime.   (B)
