DAY 1…  Morning departure and travel into Florida with our destination the Florida Keys.  We overnight in south Florida with our Welcome Dinner (D)

DAY 2… We follow the turnpike to Homestead and on into the Keys, 100’s of islands of various sizes leading us to Key West.  Islamorada, Long Key, Marathon, Big Pine Key, and on we travel toward the southern most point in the USA.  Arriving in Key West for 2 nights, the afternoon is yours to stroll along Duval Street and take in the festivities of Sunset At Mallory Square, with its carnival-like atmosphere, craft displays, and a perfect way to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico.     (B)

DAY 3…  A local trolley picks us up for a tour of the CONCH REPUBLIC, as we explore the small island and learn of its famous visitors and residents, from Hemmingway to Buffet , from pirates to treasure hunters. After the Trolley Tour, you will have an off & on ticket for the afternoon, yours to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps, you might visit Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum and see some of the riches that his team pulled from ancient Spanish galleons, or maybe walk over to the Truman Little White House. You may choose just to spend time on Duval Street to shop, or visit Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. Tonight, a Sunset Cruise on board a Catamaran highlights our day as we watch the sun set on such a tropical location.  The pace has really slowed and we could all get used to these “laid back ways”.   (B)

DAY 4…This morning we begin our return to the mainland…retracing our path.  We stop in Titusville for an early dinner at Dixie Crossroads for some fresh seafood. Their favorite is delicious “Rock Shrimp” which you might try (almost like eating mini lobsters). Traveling to New Smyrna Beach, we celebrate our last night along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in this unique seaside village.   (B,D)

DAY 5…  This has been a wonderful 5 days of fun and excitement, but now its time to return home with a greater appreciation of the Florida Keys and captivating Key West. (B)
