SEP 22 …. GRAND STAIRCASE, CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK, & BRYCE CANYON Our trail takes us into Bryce Canyon, so beautiful with its domes, spires, and temples carved in the rocks as erosion has cut down a thousand feet into the pink and white limestone creating this natural beauty. We travel along what is referred to as The Grand Staircase … a geological formation spanning eons of time in a territory of multicolored cliffs, plateaus, mesas, buttes, pinnacles, and canyons.  We witness the cliffs, canyons and domes from our viewpoint along the highway.  Later we arrive in the town of Moab for 2 nights. SEP 23ARCHES NATIONAL PARK …  Arches National Park is very special … weathering forces have cut natural arches, windows, and spires into the sandstone, the largest found anywhere in America.  So far over 200 openings large enough to be called arches have been discovered. Landscape Arch, believed to be the longest natural stone span in the world has a length of 291 feet. We will visit Devil’s Garden, and the Fiery Furnace, and Tower Arch.  Tonight highlights a BBQ on the banks of the Colorado River followed by a Jet Boat Cruise to witness a magnificent Sound & Light Show over the water on the canyon walls.
