DAY 2 …   LANCASTER CO … Today we continue northward, skirting Washington, DC, and continue into Pennsylvania. Arriving in Lancaster County, our group enjoys a matinee musical performance at the American Music Theatre.  Experience one of the most riveting Bible stories of the Old Testament as it comes to life with magnificent sets, special effects and live animals!  After the show, we sit down to a delicious Amish Meal to top off a great day.  (B,D)

DAY 3 …   STATUE OF LIBERTY … Breakfast and an interesting stop is planned for Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Our group will board a ferry for a trip to the Statue of Liberty and view the Manhattan Skyline from the water. After the cruise we continue into the “Yankee State” of Connecticut for an overnight.   (B)

DAY 4 … KENNEBUNKPORT … Breakfast, & we continue our drive north into New England, arriving into Maine and its rugged coastline. We see Kennebunkport & view former President George Bush’s home, a fortress jutting out into a rocky harbor. With time for lunch & shopping, we depart in mid-afternoon for one of Maine’s most picturesque coastal villages, Booth Bay Harbor.  Our home for two nights is the charming Tug Boat Inn, situated on the waterfront and in the village of quaint shops, restaurants, & fishing boats. The evening dinner is a highlight as we enjoy a traditional Lobster Bake, with all the trimmings, or a chance to sample other delicious choices from the hotel’s restaurant. (B,D)

DAY 5 BOOTH BAY HARBOR … Breakfast, & our pace slows as we enjoy the fishing village of Booth Bay, full of specialty and craft shops. We board a sightseeing boat for a harbor cruise that shows us the many vacation retreats in the area, and literally thousands of lobster buoys promising to yield their delicious treats.  The afternoon is at leisure to relax and refresh in this peaceful setting. Stroll into the many shops scattered around the bay, or walk across the bridge to the Fisherman’s Co-op for some fresh steamed seafood on the docks.  (B)

DAY 6 MT WASHINGTON HOTEL … Breakfast, & we travel across the lake region of Maine into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Passing through scenic Crawford Notch, we can view Mt Washington, highest peak in New England, at 6,288 feet.  Lunch is quite a treat as we enjoy a fabulous Foliage Buffet at the famed Mt. Washington Hotel, located at the base of the mountain. Later in the afternoon the beauty and the serenity of the Green Mountains of Vermont greet us.  We travel to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, New England’s largest producer of apple cider.  Why not try a cider donut for the road or get some maple syrup?   Our home for the next 2 nights is Burlington.    (B,L)

DAY 7LAKE CHAMPLAIN CRUISE … A wonderful day in the cool weather of Autumn in New England.  We make a morning stop at the famous VERMONT TEDDY BEAR COMPANY, the largest maker of hand-crafted, American-made Teddy Bears!  You may want to take one of these cuddly bears back home to the Grands. Next, we board the Ethan Allen II for a delightful luncheon cruise on Lake Champlain, and the foliage should be spectacular. Our afternoon highlight is a visit to the famed Shelburne Museum, with a collection of over 20 old New England buildings relocated to the property and exhibited in a village like setting.  Other exhibits include Quilts, Folk Art, American Paintings, and artifacts.   (B,L)

DAY 8 … WEST POINT … Breakfast and departing New England we travel along the Hudson River Valley of New York state for a visit to West Point. Here we meet a guide for a most interesting and inspirational tour of the United States Military Academy. Continuing into the Pocono’s of Pennsylvania, our group enjoys Dinner and overnight.  (B,D)

DAY 9 … DINNER SHOW & SHENANDOAH VALLEY… Breakfast, & our journey continues as we travel out of the Pocono’s and into the Shenandoah Valley.
