DAY 1...We board our deluxe motorcoach for the drive across the Carolinas and into the great state of Virginia for our first night with a Welcome Dinner.  (D)

 DAY 2…   STATUE OF LIBERTY … Today we continue northward, skirting Washington, DC, and continue into Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  An interesting stop is planned for Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Our group will board a ferry for a trip to the Statue of Liberty and view the Manhattan Skyline from the water. Later we board our Motorcoach and drive past New York City, arriving in the “Yankee State” of Connecticut for an overnight.   (B) 

DAY 3 …KENNEBUNKPORT … Breakfast, & we continue our drive north into New England, arriving into Maine and its rugged coastline. We see Kennebunkport & view former President George Bush's home, a fortress jutting out into a rocky harbor. With time for lunch & shopping, we depart in mid-afternoon for one of Maine’s most picturesque coastal villages, Booth Bay Harbor.  Our home for two nights is the charming Tug Boat Inn, situated on the waterfront and in the village of quaint shops, restaurants, & fishing boats. The evening dinner is a highlight as we enjoy a traditional Lobster Bake, with all the trimmings, or a chance to sample other delicious choices from the hotel’s restaurant. (B,D)

DAY 4BOOTH BAY HARBOR … Breakfast, & our pace slows as we enjoy the fishing village of Booth Bay, full of specialty and craft shops. We board a sightseeing boat for a harbor cruise that shows us the many vacation retreats in the area, and literally thousands of lobster buoys promising to yield their delicious treats.  The afternoon is at leisure to relax and refresh in this peaceful setting. Stroll into the many shops scattered around the bay, or walk across the bridge to the Fisherman’s Co-op for some fresh steamed seafood on the docks.  (B) 

DAY 5MT WASHINGTON … Breakfast, & we travel across the lake region of Maine into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Passing through scenic Crawford Notch, we can view Mt Washington, highest peak in New England, at 6,288 feet.  Lunch is quite a treat as we enjoy a fabulous Foliage Buffet at the famed Mt. Washington Hotel, located at the base of the mountain. Next we take an exciting climb to the top of Mt Washington aboard the world's first mountain-climbing Cog Railway. Ride to the top of Mt Washington on the Cog Railroad for spectacular views. Later we arrive in Vermont for a 2 night stay.   (B,L)

 DAY 6LAKE CHAMPLAIN CRUISE … A wonderful day in the cool weather of Autumn in New England.  We board the Ethan Allen III for a delightful luncheon cruise on Lake Champlain, and the foliage should be spectacular.  This afternoon we stop at the Dakin Farm and visit its Sugar House that has been boiling sap into syrup for over 58 years. You have a chance to sample and purchase the best maple syrup in Vermont.  We visit the 6,000 square foot retail store, where you can always enjoy samples of their Summer Sausage, Smoked Pepperoni, Smoked Meats, Homemade Fudge and a range of jams, jellies, chutneys, butters and dips! Next stop is the famous VERMONT TEDDY BEAR COMPANY, the largest maker of hand-crafted, American-made Teddy Bears!  You may want to take one of these cuddly bears back home to the grands.  (B,L)

DAY 7 SCENIC TRAIN RIDE … Breakfast before we board THE VERMONTER and ride by rail along the beautiful and colorful countryside of the Green Mountains. Off the train in White River Junction, we visit Quechee Gorge to glimpse the Grand Canyon of New England and then stop in the charming village of Woodstock. You will have time to stroll along the village green of this picturesque New England town and enjoy lunch at the exclusive WOODSTOCK INN.  Our trail continues by Motorcoach into the mountains of Upper New York for an overnight after a spectacular day of touring.  (B,L)

DAY 8WEST POINT … Breakfast and we travel along the Hudson River Valley of New York state for a visit to West Point. Here we meet a guide for a most interesting and inspirational tour of the United States Military Academy. Continuing to Lancaster County, our group enjoys Dinner in this famous area of Pennsylvania and a show. (B,D)

DAY 9 … GETTYSBURG & SHENANDOAH … Breakfast and it's on to historic Gettysburg for a guided narration of this famous battlefield site of the War Between The States.  We stop for apples near Winchester, VA, and continue our journey down the Shenandoah Valley. Our overnight accommodations will be in Roanoke with a Farewell Dinner and a chance to remember the many sights of the past days.  (B,D)

DAY 10 ... Breakfast, and we turn our heads toward home after a fantastic 10 Day New England experience.   (B)
