DAY 1...We board our deluxe motorcoach for the drive across the Carolinas and into the great state of Virginia for our first night with a Welcome Dinner.  (D)

DAY 2…   Today we continue northward, skirting Washington, DC, and continue into Pennsylvania. Arriving in Lancaster County, our group enjoys a matinee musical performance of  "'THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY"at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre or a show at the American Music Theatre (AMT).  Overnight in the area. DAY 3 … Breakfast and we travel into the Hudson River Valley of New York state for a visit to West Point. Here we meet a guide for a most interesting and inspirational tour of the United States Military Academy.  Crossing the Hudson, we overnight in Connecticut. (B)

DAY 4 … Breakfast, and we continue our drive north into Maine and its rugged coastline. We see Kennebunkport and view former President George Bush's home, a fortress jutting out into a rocky harbor. With time for lunch and shopping, we depart in mid-afternoon for one of Maine’s most picturesque coastal villages, Booth Bay Harbor.  Our home for two nights is the charming Tug Boat Inn, situated on the waterfront and in the middle of the village of  quaint shops, restaurants, and fishing boats. The evening dinner is a highlight as we enjoy a traditional Lobster Bake, with all the trimmings, or a chance to sample other delicious choices from the hotel’s restaurant. (B,D)

 DAY 5… Breakfast, & our pace slows as we enjoy the fishing village of Booth Bay, full of specialty and craft shops. We board a sightseeing boat for a harbor cruise that shows us the many vacation retreats in the area, and literally thousands of lobster buoys promising to yield their delicious treats.  The afternoon is at leisure to relax and refresh in this peaceful setting, or perhaps take an optional whale watching excursion. This evening you are free to stroll into the many shops scattered around the bay, or walk across the bridge to the Fisherman’s Co-op on the docks.  (B) 

DAY 6… Breakfast, & we travel across the lake region of Maine into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Passing through scenic Crawford Notch, we can view Mt Washington, highest peak in New England, at 6,288 feet.  Lunch is quite a treat as we enjoy a fabulous Foliage Buffet at the famed Mt. Washington Hotel, located at the base of the mountain. Next we take an exciting tram ride up Cannon Mountain at Franconia Notch for fabulous scenery and foliage colors of New Hampshire's White Mountains. The enclosed 80 passenger tram rises 2,022 feet to the top of Cannon Mountain. Later in the afternoon the beauty and the serenity of the Green Mountains of Vermont greet us, our home for the next 2 nights.    (B,L)

DAY 7 … A wonderful day in New England as we travel to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, New England’s largest producer of apple cider. Why not try a cider donut for the road. Continuing to Burlington, we board the Ethan Allen III for a delightful luncheon cruise on Lake Champlain, and the foliage should be spectacular. Returning to central Vermont, we visit Quechee Gorge to glimpse the Grand Canyon of New England and then stop in the charming village of Woodstock. You will have time to stroll along the village green of this picturesque New England town, with lots of shops & a chance to grab a bite for dinner.  (B,L)  

DAY 8 … Breakfast, and we transfer to the depot and board the “Ethan Allen Express” for the train ride through the scenic Hudson Valley and fabulous fall foliage. Getting off the train in Poughkeepsie,  we continue by Motorcoach into the mountains of Pennsylvania for our overnight.  Dinner   (B,D)  

DAY 9… Making our way out of the Poconos, we visit Hershey to sample their chocolate, shop for apples near Winchester, VA,  and continue our journey down the Shenandoah Valley. Our overnight accommodations will be in Roanoke with a Farewell Dinner and a chance to remember the many sights of the past days.  (B,D)

DAY 10 ... Breakfast, and we turn our heads toward home after a fantastic 10 Day New England experience.   (B)
