DAY 1 … We travel north through Georgia with an interesting stop near the Tennessee border at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. This area preserves the sites of two major battles of the American Civil War: the Battle of Chickamauga and the Chattanooga Campaign. Later we continue through Chattanooga and check into our hotel before an exciting and entertaining event… Dinner and Show at the Button Willow Theatre. (D)

DAY 2 … One of Tennessee's treasures is the small town of Lynchburg, home of Jack Daniel's Distillery. Our group will walk the hallowed hollow and learn something about Mr. Jack’s distillery. We stop by the Lynchburg Hardware & General Store for all the Jack Daniel's memorabilia. And lunch is at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House Restaurant, now in its hundredth year of operation. You'll enjoy the down-home cooking just like  Mr. Jack did a century ago. Departing for Kentucky, we stop in Bowling Green for a tour of the Corvette Museum before arriving in Bardstown for 2 nights. DAY 3 … This morning we explore "Federal Hill," the Rowan family's mansion that inspired Stephen Foster to write, "My Old Kentucky Home."  We drive to the small town of Nonesuch for a delicious luncheon at "The Glitz". For desert, the Nonesuch Kiss … a baked meringue shell filled with jamoca ice cream, hot fudge sauce, toasted sliced almonds, whipped cream and a cherry. The house specialty! How can we be in Bluegrass Country and not go to the track, so away we head to famed Keeneland for thoroughbred racing. See if you can pick out the wining horse. Later we return back to Bardstown. (B,L)

DAY 4 … Breakfast and we travel to Stearns and take a train ride through the scenic mountains of Southern Kentucky with a stop at the historic Blue Heron Mining Camp. The Big South Fork Scenic Railway takes a 14 mile trip down to Blue Heron , the largest interpretive collection of historic coal mining in America . The train descends 600 feet into the Big South Fork Gorge. Also while on the train, enjoy a Coal Miner's picnic in a souvenir insulated lunch bag. Later we Motorcoach into Tennessee for dinner and show our last night in Pigeon Forge.  (B,L,D)

DAY 5 … Our journey takes us across the Smoky Mountain National Park, as we travel into Dillard, Georgia.   Our lunch treat is the DILLARD HOUSE, with tables of delicious food to fill any appetite!  We return this afternoon full of food and fond memories of an event packed trip. (B,L)
