HIGHLIGHTS: Beau Rivage, Tabasco Factory & Avery Island, Waco, Fixer Upper Tour, Magnolia Marketplace, Spice Village, JKF Memorial in Dallas, Vicksburg Tour, Walnut Hill, & Lots More … 11 Meals


DAY 1…This is a trip that is full of fun, sights, and great food. You will spend the first night in the beautiful BEAU RIVAGE of Biloxi along the Mississippi Riviera.  The hotel along the Strip on the Gulf of Mexico offers great meals, entertainment, and if gaming is your interest, you have plenty of time to try your luck in their huge casino.    (D)

DAY 2TABASCO & CAJUN COUNTRY … Breakfast and we Motorcoach to the colorful Cajun Country of Louisiana. We arrive in New Iberia and stop at the Conrad Rice Museum, the oldest Rice Mill in America. Then it's on to Avery Island for a tour of where the famed local Tabasco Sauce is made. Dinner should be lots of fun as we dine on Cajun Cuisine and dance to the energetic sounds of Cajun music at Prejeans. (B,D)

DAY 3 … Across the bayous and into Texas we travel. Passing through Beaumont and Houston we Motorcoach our way to our main destination … WACO.  This is the home of , a hit television show on the HGTV Network … THE FIXER UPPER Show starring JOANNA and CHIP GAINES. Waco is also noted for Baylor University as well as the Dr Pepper Museum.  We arrive here for a 2 night stay. Dinner tonight to welcome us to this exciting location.  (B,D)

DAY 4MAGNOLIA MARKETPLACE … After breakfast we board a local trolley for a close-up orientation to Waco and its attractions. We stop for a visit at the Silos and the Magnolia Marketplace. The owners of Magnolia Homes in Waco, Chip and Joanna Gaines are the celebrities in town. They call Waco & the Heart of Texas their home.  The couple’s local businesses include Magnolia Homes, Magnolia Market, Magnolia Seed & Supply, the Silos Baking Co, as well as other ventures. As the trolley takes us around, we can see some of the "Fixer Upper" homes.   We visit Spice Village, a long time local favorite. It’s located in a 1908 warehouse building and contains 80 individual shops in a fun atmosphere. Many of the Spice house shops you will recognize from Joanna Gaines’ televised shopping adventures.  Who knows … we may see one of the stars around town. We also stop at Harp Design Co. HGTV’s Fixer Upper regularly features the amazing designs for craftsman Clint Harp. We will Stop in to visit his shop and showroom. Pick up some of those famous wooden candle holders, or a step stool, or have a custom table created, just like Joanna does.  (B)

DAY 5 … KENNEDY MEMORIAL … This morning we travel the short distance to Dallas and have a chance to visit Dealy Plaza, the President Kennedy Memorial, and the Texas School Book Depository which hid his assassin. After the tour, we head east across Texas and Louisiana and cross the Mississippi River at Vicksburg, our home for the night.  (B,D) 

DAY 6 … WALNUT HILL … This historic city of Vicksburg was a very important part of the War Between The States. The city is high above the river, and because of its location, monitored and guarded the movement on the Mississippi.  A local guide will join us for a tour of the town and the battlefield.  Lunch is a special treat at Walnut Hills, featured on "Good Morning America" and in Southern Living Magazine. This will be our farewell meal before we continue in the afternoon to Alabama. We overnight in Birmingham. (B,L)

DAY 7 … It has been a wonderful trip with so many memories as we return home today. (B)
