MAY 5PIGEON FORGE … This morning we depart and travel into the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for our first night. The evening is highlighted by Dinner and a show in Pigeon Forge for a wonderful and entertaining way to start our trip. (D)

MAY 6 … Breakfast and we travel past Lexington, KY, to Williamstown. Not far from here is the amazing ARK ENCOUNTER, with Noah's Ark. This is the centerpiece of this inspirational location that exhibits a full scale model from the Genesis Flood narrative… 510 ft long, 85 ft wide, and 81 ft high. Witness animals, exhibits, and be intrigued by the size of the Ark as you walk aboard. After our visit we continue to northern Kentucky. Tonight is special as we enjoy dinner at the Chart House overlooking  the Ohio River and Cincinnati.     (B,D)

MAY 7FRANKENMUTH …We continue into Ohio, and on to Michigan. Our destination is Frankenmuth, a German-style resort village. Bonner's Christmas Store is famous world-wide, and after our stop here we have time in the village before checking into our hotel. Dinner will be a treat in one of the local Bavarian restaurants. (B,D)

MAY 8 …  GRAND HOTEL …This morning we travel up through the heart of the state of Michigan. Arriving in Mackinaw City, its time to board our jet boat ferry to enticing Mackinac Island.  We will be met by horse drawn carriages and taken on an interesting carriage tour of this resort island where no automobiles are allowed.  We see the island, its natural beauty, and historic homes on this heritage carriage ride before arriving at the GRAND HOTEL.  This luxury hotel, with its 800 foot long covered porch, the longest in the World, is an elegant reminder of times past.  The landscaping should be beautiful on the island this time of year. Dinner is in the Grand Dining Room, where you are treated to a truly 5 course gourmet meal, attentive service, and enjoy the lavish ambiance of the surroundings. (B,D)

MAY 9TULIPS … This morning a ferry returns us to the mainland and we motorcoach to southern Michigan and the town of Holland during their 2019 Tulip Festival.  We'll have a chance to witness the floral beauty of this area during this annual celebration.  Later we continue our journey to Indiana and the back roads of LaGrange County, home to the largest Amish community in the state …a countryside full of white-washed houses, bountiful vegetable gardens with flowering borders, laundry blowing in the breeze and freshly baked goodies for sale along the roadside. Our stop is in Shipshewana where we will stay for 2 nights.  Later a delicious meal is set up for us at the Blue Gate Restaurant.    (B,D)

MAY 10AMISH TOUR … This morning is highlighted by a tour of this Amish Country.  You will have a chance to see local craft factories, farms, cheese shops, quaint homes and churches. You will have plenty of time to browse in the shops, marketplace, and town. This afternoon we climb aboard Amish Buggies for a ride to a local home for a special dinner prepared by the Amish family living there.  Later we enjoy a show at the Blue Gate Theatre.       (B,D)

MAY 11 ... NASHVILLE … It’s time to head south through the rolling hills of Indiana, crossing the Ohio River at Louisville, we travel into Tennessee for our final evening together in Nashville.    Group enjoys Dinner  and a Musical Show in "Music City".   (B,D)

MAY 12 ... This morning we head home with lasting memories of the beauty of northern Michigan, Amish Indiana and the Grand Hotel.   (B)
