We travel to central Georgia to the famous Mennonite Restaurant of Yoder’s, outside the town of Montezuma.  After a delicious home style lunch, it’s only a short drive to historic Andersonville.  This small village is the site of the unfortunate deplorable prison during the War Between The States…too many captives and not enough food or space.  Our group will tour the Drummer Boy Museum, famous for its Confederate and Union drummer boy uniforms, complete with original drums. Next a local guide will narrate and point out many interesting facts of this tragic chapter in America's history. You will have time in the village before we travel to Vienna to Ellis Brothers Pecans for some shopping time for nuts, jellies, gifts, and of course, Pecan Pie. What a great day!
