SEP 19  FERRY TO VICTORIA …We take our transcontinental flight to Seattle.  Transferring to a ferry, we cross the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Vancouver Island and spend 3 nights along the harbor in lovely Victoria. We arrive and check into our hotel with a chance to adjust to the Pacific Coast time difference.  Dinner tonight is a fitting welcome to this charming city that is known as ‘the most British of Canada”. (D)

SEP 20 …  TOUR OF VICTORIA … Breakfast and a local guide will board our coach and narrate the history of this most Victorian English city, pointing many interesting and lovely sights. This afternoon, we have time to stroll the picturesque harbor of this lovely village and enjoy the waterfront.   (B) 

SEP 21  BUTCHART GARDENS:  After breakfast, a special highlight is in store for our group.  We make a visit to Butchart Gardens, one of the world's foremost floral wonders with eye-stopping landscapes in every hue. Lunch included.  This day should certainly prove one of the highlights of our trip. (B,L)

SEP 22  … BRITISH COLUMBIA: A morning crossing by ferry of the Straits of Georgia brings us to the mainland of British Columbia.  We travel eastward along the Coquihalla Highway, riding along the crest of the mountains of British Columbia and the Frazer River to the town of Kamloops!   Overnight in a local hotel.  (B,L)

SEP 23  … JASPER … Today we begin our climb high into the Canadian Rockies.  The mountains hold spectacular scenery as we wind our way through valleys and around towering peaks.  After a pleasant visit to Spahats Falls and Gorge, we pause at Mount Robson, highest peak in the Rockies at 12,972 feet! We will overnight in Jasper, Alberta.  Be on the lookout, as elk often are seen parading down the main street!  Dinner in our hotel is included. (B,L,D)

SEP 24 … Breakfast as we begin the spectacular drive from Jasper to Banff  along the scenic Ice Fields Parkway with glaciers rising on both sides of the roadway.  This day is full of excitement as our group rides a snowcoach on the Athabascha Glacier at the Columbia Icefields, with lunch included.   Later we visit picturesque Moraine Lake, a shimmering mirror reflecting the surrounding snow-capped Ten Peaks.  Watch for wildlife as we make our way through the mountains.  Our home for the next 2 nights will be in the heart of Banff.  (B,L)

SEP 25    BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL LUNCHEON … This morning we’ll enjoy a tour of this breathtaking area…Bow Falls, a gondola ride to the 7,500 foot peak of Sulphur Mountain, the Hoodoos, and then we have lunch at the Banff Springs Hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy in Banff, with its shops, restaurants, surrounded by towering peaks. (B,L)

SEP 26   … Our descent of the Rockies takes us through the Avalanche Trail of Rogers Pass and into the fertile Okanagan Valley, the primary agricultural area of British Columbia. We overnight along the beautiful lakeside area nestled in the orchards of this fertile fruit bearing area… Lake Okanagan Resort.  (B,D)

SEP 27 … Re-entering the United States into Washington, we drive into apple country. We stop in Cashmere at Liberty Orchards for a Candy Factory Tour and a chance to taste and purchase their specialty. The blossom-fresh flavor of crisp Washington apples, the tangy goodness of ripe apricots, and the nutty richness of crunchy English walnuts have made this namesake candy called Aplets and Cotlets.  We cross the mountains through Snoqualmie Pass and arrive in the Emerald City of Seattle.  Tonight's Farewell dinner gives us a chance to reflect on the beautiful sights we have enjoyed during the past days.  (B,D)

SEP 28  …  We transfer to the airport early for our flight home after a beautiful trip. (B)
