MAY 30 … TRAIN RIDE …This interesting trip is our salute to “VETERANS” as it takes you away by Train, Motorcoach, and Boat on an adventure full of activities that features. From train rides to cruises on bays to many of our patriotic sites, you will witness amazing scenery, all on one trip. We board the train in Savannah and travel by rail to Richmond for our first night in Virginia. (D)
MAY 31 … DC & ANNAPOLIS …A short drive away is Washington, DC, and our coach will do a short drive around highlighting the memorials and monuments along the Mall Area. We stop at the World War II, Viet Nam, & Korean War Memorials, and then take a tram ride into Arlington National Cemetery. Continuing into Maryland, a guide meets the group for an interesting tour of the Naval Academy in Annapolis, and we spend 2 nights in this lovely area. (B,D)
JUNE 1 … DAY ON THE BAY …Great Day as you spend it “On the Bay” as we cruise from Annapolis to St. Michaels. This Annapolis cruise takes guests across the Chesapeake Bay in luxury, not in Bay Bridge traffic. The quaint historic village of St. Michaels offers fresh seafood, boutique shopping and historic sites all within walking distance during your 3-hours of leisure time on land. Later we return to Annapolis. (B)
JUNE 2 … STATUE OF LIBERTY & WEST POINT … This morning we get an early start and travel the Eastern Seaboard. On to New Jersey we arrive in Freedom Park where our group will board a ferry out to the STATUE OF LIBERTY, a landmark for all Americans or anyone entering the USA from New York Harbor. We continue into the Hudson River Valley for another highlight… a narrated tour of West Point, the U.S. Military Academy for a most inspiring visit. Dinner is a special treat along the Hudson River in this scenic area of Hudson Highlands. (B,D)
JUNE 3 … BOSTON & THE FREEDOM TRAIL … Breakfast and we travel across Connecticut and arrive in Boston for a tour of this most historic city of New England. It was here that the flames of freedom were fanned as the colonists opposed the taxation from the British and revolted. We will see the location of the “Boston Tea Party”, visit Old North Church of Paul Revere lore, and follow the Freedom Trail. We have a chance to view “Old Ironsides”, the oldest commissioned ship in the U.S Navy, and enjoy a Farewell Dinner. (B,D)
JUNE 4 … Breakfast, and its been a wonderful experience on our American History Tour honoring our VETERANS, but now its time to return home as we transfer to the airport for our flight. (B)
