OCT 11 … Our flight arrives in Salt Lake City and we motorcoach into southern Utah for an overnight in Provo.  Welcome Dinner as we prepare for our exciting adventure.  (D)

OCT 12 ARCHES NATIONAL PARK … Our trail takes us further into southern Utah for more spectacular scenery.  Arches National Park is very special … weathering forces have cut natural arches, windows, and spires into the sandstone, the largest found anywhere in America.  So far over 200 openings large enough to be called arches have been discovered. Landscape Arch, believed to be the longest natural stone span in the world has a length of 291 feet. We will visit Devil’s Garden, and the Fiery Furnace, and Tower Arch. Overnight in Grand Junction, Colorado.  (B,D)

OCT 13 … TRAIN ACROSS THE ROCKIES … This morning we board the California Zephyr for a spectacular ride across the Rocky Mountains to Denver.  With unbelievable sights across the Continental Divide, we dine on the train, enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado, before meeting our motorcoach at the station for the transfer to our hotel.  (B)

OCT 14 …  DODGE CITY Today we begin our journey across the Great American Plains once inhabited by nomadic Native American tribes, cowboys herding cattle, and pioneers crossing to find a better life. We stop in Kit Carson, a small town named after this famed scout, and travel on into Kansas.  Later in the afternoon we arrive in DODGE CITY, Kansas, one of the most infamous and rowdy towns of the wild west. We stop at the Boot Hill Museum to learn of  the unique story of early Dodge City. The museum chronicles the establishment of this rough and rowdy cattle town and is located on the original site of Boot Hill Cemetery. Overnight here.  (B,D)

OCT 15 …  OKLAHOMA … This morning we make our way into Oklahoma and arrive in the small town of PAWHUSKA. This is the home of Ree Drummond, “the PIONEER WOMAN”, who is a best selling author and the host on the Food Network with her show, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks”. We will have time at the Pioneer Woman Mercantile for some shopping before enjoying a family style meal in her restaurant. Everyone will receive a copy of Mrs. Drummond’s latest book before departing. Continuing on, we arrive in Oklahoma City and visit its famous NATIONAL COWBOY & WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM, with its western art and interesting exhibits. Overnight in Ok City.   (B,L)

OCT 16PRECIOUS MOMENTS … Our eastern trail leads to Missouri, for a lunch break and tour of the Precious Moments Complex in Carthage. You will have an opportunity to visit the Chapel, see where the ideas and the art are produced, and purchase these cute statuettes. On into the Ozark Mountains of Missouri as we arrive in Branson for a two night stay. Tonight we enjoy dinner and show or a cruise on the Branson Belle, with a meal and entertainment.  (B,D)

OCT 17BRANSON … When in Branson…you eat, and go to a show. You eat, and go to another show.  Now we don’t want anyone to feel out of place, so we will take in 2 more shows today…a morning show with some time in Old Branson before dinner and another top show in town tonight. There is music and fun for everyone in this small Ozark town. (B,D)

OCT 18FAREWELL DINNER … As our highway continues east, we travel along the winding roads of the Ozarks.  Crossing the Mississippi, we continue to Tupelo for the last night of our trip. Special Farewell Dinner.  (B,D)

OCT 19 … Our group has seen and done so much over the last few days, but now its time to head home with great memories and new friendships. (B)
