DEC 11 …We board our deluxe motorcoach for a journey to the Blue Ridge Mountains for this super deluxe holiday trip of elegance. Our route leads us across the Carolinas, and into Virginia. Tonight our home is in the historic Roanoke Hotel, built in 1882, and has hosted presidents, millionaires, the Miss Virginia Pageant, and now Excursions Unlimited distinquished travelers. The building is decorated throughout and is famous for the Fashion of the Evergreens, a multiple Christmas Tree display around the hotel. Welcome Dinner. (D)
DEC 12 … No rush today as we make our way into the mountains of West Virginia for an amazing experience of luxury. Your home is the world class 5-Star resort located in White Sulphur Springs, WV… the World Class resort … THE GREENBRIER. Begin to enjoy the many amenities of this exquisite resort, including culinary demonstrations, tour of the property or slide show, access to the President’s Cottage Museum, afternoon tea, and tonight a gourmet dinner with orchestra entertainment in the evening. The hotel should be beautiful during this Christmas Season. Be pampered and enjoy it! The Greenbrier has also added their Casino Club. DEC 13 … A fabulous breakfast and we depart and travel to Beckley for a lunch stop at Tamarack, referred to as “The Best of West Virginia. This large arts and crafts facility is run as an economic development project of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, offers food options, and sells West Virginia craft products, such as wood, glass, textiles, pottery, metal, jewelry, as well as specialty food items, fine art, and West Virginia books and recordings out of the mountains of West Virginia. Later we proceed to Wytheville, Virginia for the final evening of our trip. This should be a highlight as Dinner & The Christmas Show is included at the Wohlfahrt Haus. (B,D)
DEC 14 …Into the Carolinas, we cross the mountains to Asheville for lunch at the Grove Park Park Inn, a heralded resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains. What a way to end such a wonderful and colorful seasonal getaway, as we return home after sampling so many gourmet delights. (B,L)
