May 16 ... Meet at the airport and fly to Alaska, where the group enjoys an extra night to make the adjustment to the time change. Get a good night's rest.
May 17 ... Today is yours to enjoy the interior of Alaska in FAIRBANKS with the day at leisure. Tonight our group will visit Alaska Land for a Salmon Bake.
May 18 ... Today we begin with a city tour and a visit to a working gold mine, the El Dorado. Another highlight is a cruise aboard the sternwheeler Discovery in the afternoon, offering other sights and places to explore. You will visit a native village, meet an Iditarod champion's sled dogs, and watch a bush-pilot demonstration.
May 19... Today we board a the McKinley Explorer luxury train for the ride to DENALI. Upon arrival, you will check into our hotel for a 2 night stay in this spectacular location.
May 20 ... A morning adventure is yours as the group will be escorted on
a special wildlife & Tundra Wilderness tour of the National Park and a chance to view MT MCKINLEY, the tallest peak in North America. Enjoy looking for moose, bear, mountain sheep and elk on this most interesting adventure. The in-depth Tundra Wilderness Tour takes you deep into the heart of the national park.
May 21... More lovely scenery awaits us as we board the Denali Express for the wonderful train ride across Alaska. Our destination is the largest city in Alaska as we overnight in ANCHORAGE.
May 22 ... This morning we motorcoach along the National Scenic Byway to Seward, with spectacular scenery along the way, as we arrive in time for lunch aboard our Holland America ship and a 7 night World Class Cruise that includes all meals, entertainment, great public areas, a full service casino, and large staterooms for everyone.
May 23 ... Today you awaken to the wonder of glaciers and ice covered peaks as we cruise through COLLEGE FJORD, one of Prince William Sound's many glacier-carved inlets and home to a variety of marine life.
May 24 ... This day should be one of the top highlights of your trip as your ship glides into spectacular GLACIER BAY, one of the great natural wonders of the world. With towering mountains of ice meeting the frigid waters of this beautiful setting. Watch for the thunderous roar of an iceberg "calving" in these massive rivers of ice.
May 25 ... Our port of call today is the small, but fascinating town of HAINES, one of the remote villages important to the Yukon Gold Rush. You may want to take a high-speed boat to an Eagle Refuge or visit SKAGWAY.
May 26 ... JUNEAU is the isolated capital of Alaska, not accessible by land, and a major destination for sea planes. You may tour this interesting city, explore the shops in town, or even take a float trip out to the Mendenhall Glacier. You may just want to sit on deck and watch the sea planes land on the water all around you.
May 27... Our fun continues as we cruise into the "First City" of Alaska, KETCHIKAN. This picturesque city is built on piles out over the water and clings to the slopes of Deer Mountain. There is plenty of native culture to enjoy here in Alaska's southeastern city.
May 28 ... Your adventure is not over yet, as your ship cruises through the INSIDE PASSAGE, some areas very narrow and others where it is difficult to see land. This is the last night of the cruise, so enjoy the gala dinner and celebration to conclude your wonderful experience aboard the ship.
May 29 ... We arrive in the city of VANCOUVER of British Columbia, Canada and disembark from our ship. A motorcoach awaits to take us back in the USA and overnight in SEATTLE, Washington where the group enjoys a ride up the Space needle for a spectacular view of this lovely city and the Pacific Northwestwith Dinner.
May 30... We fly home after an unbelievable trip to the GREAT LAND OF ALASKA.
